We provide microarray analysis service using Clariom™ S Assay of Thermo Fisher Scientific. We analyze your total RNA with
microarrays of the species of your choice and deliver the results (i.e. CEL
files). We offer this service as an Authorized Service Provider of Thermo
Fisher Scientific.
GeneChipTM Scanner 3000 7G System
Clariom™ S Assay is a next generation gene expression profiling tool for
human, mouse and rat testing to provide a view of transcriptome at gene
level. The Clariom assays provide extensive coverage of well-annotated
known genes. They are compatible with clinical research samples and available
in scalable formats with flexible analysis software. Clariom™ S Assay is
the best tool to find well-characterized biomarkers quickly and easily
at low cost.

 Workflow
|
1. Sample Shipment
|
Ship the samples to the “Shipping Address” with a completed QC sheet and
a signed disclaimer agreement.
*For more information on sample requirements, please refer to “Sample
Requirements & Shipment ” section.
*For sample shipping instructions and precautions, please refer to the
document “Sample Submission”.
*Once you have shipped your samples, please notify our representative or of the tracking number.

2. Sample QC
|
We conduct sample QC (Quality Control) assessment with Agilent 4150 TapeStation
or Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. When the samples pass the QC, we proceed to
the step "3. Amplification and Labeling".
*If the sample fails to pass the QC (i.e. RIN ≦ 7.0), we report the result
and ask you to decide whether to replace, proceed or drop the sample from
the analysis. If you decide to send replacement, we will charge you for
5,000 JPY/sample as QC fee. If you decide to cancel the analysis, we will
charge you for all costs incurred by us (e.g., RNA extraction, QC and any
other labors). |

3. Amplification and Labeling
|
By using GeneChip™ WT PLUS
Reagent Kit, the RNA samples are processed for cDNA synthesis, cRNA
amplification and ss-cDNA synthesis, followed by fragmentation and terminal
labeling. |
4. Hybridization
|
With “GeneChip™ Hybridization, Wash, and Stain Kit”
and the automated system “GeneChip™ Scanner 3000 7G System”, the
samples are hybridized to the microarrays followed by wash and stain. |
5. Scanning
|
The microarrays are scanned with GeneChip™ Scanner
3000 7G to generate image files. |
|

|
6. Delivering Results
|
CEL files and QC reports are delivered. Our
turnaround time is approx. 15 business days after the samples pass the QC.

Total RNA should be dissolved in
Nuclease-free H2O and stored at -80℃.

For sample submission, please use
Nuclease-free 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL tube and seal its cap with parafilm strip.

Only RIN assessment is conducted using Agilent 4150
TapeStation or Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. Our RNA QC assessment doesn’t check
sample concentration and O.D. ratio. Please perform those assessments and
record the results on the QC Sheet before submitting the samples. The final
sample quality will be determined based on our QC assessment. |
Precaustions

Please ensure that the samples are
dissolved in RNase-free/DNase-free H2O.
|
| ・ |
Do not use buffers containing
detergents, DEPC or high ionic strength (e.g., >10 mM TE, > 10 mM NH4
Acetate) as those may negatively affect accurate QC assessment and reverse
transcription.

When you submit clinical human
samples, please acquire the informed consents from your patients. We are not
responsibile for any problems related to, including but not limited to,
intelectual property rights, industrial property rights, safety or informed
consents arising from our work.

Ship the samples on sufficient amount
of dry ice, and use appropriate courier (e.g., FedEx, World Courier). Customer
shall be responsible for any problems related to the shipment.

Arrange for your shipment to arrive
your package on our business days (9:00am – 5:00pm).

| ・ |
We work based on the submitted QC
Sheet. If the sheet is not provided to us or the sheet is incomplete, we may be
unable to perform analysis.

When the customer ships replacements
for QC failed samples, the shipment cost shall be taken care by the customer.
|
| ・ |
In the event of cancellation of the project, we will charge the customer
for all costs incurred by us. If you cancel the project after the replacement
sample failed QC, the QC fee will be calculated based on the total number
of samples (i.e. the first submitted samples plus the replacement samples).
In the case of 5 samples + 5 replacements (10 samples in total), the total
QC fee will be 10 times of QC fee/sample. |

Our turnaround time may be longer
than those indicated in this page or our documents because of summer/winter
breaks, national holidays, order rushes, etc.

Filgen doesn’t return the samples. The samples will be
destroyed after delivering results. For the data, we will delete it 90 days
after delivering. |
